AdsOnLine is a web application designed to be delivered to
customers for inclusion into customer web sites. The application can be
customized to allow for the presentation to be changed by the customer
as needed.
Customers have a need to allow people to define and order classified
ads for publications. It has been shown that when customers order ads
online they spend more on the ad and include more upsell items such as
pictures, borders, and larger type. AdsOnLine is designed to allow for the use
of standard web editing applications to customize pages to make this easy
for newspapers to provide an optimal experience for people when purchasing
an ad online.
The AdsOnLine architecture is built on Java and JSP technologies that
prove to be scaleable, reliable, and widely used for server based
web applications. Using these technologies also allows for possible multiple
platform support in the future.

The AdsOnLine system is delivered as a toolkit used to build sites. A sample
implementation of a site is also delivered with the system. This sample
site can be used as a starting point to create customer sites. Often most
of the sample pages can be copied and then edited to provide the needed
look and feel for a custom site.
